Introduction I've been reading a lot of home improvement blogs and they're either done by near-pros, rich people, or couples who sprinkle the text with lots of references to "DH," "hubby," "the wife," etc. I didn't find a single blog by an impractical, budget-restricted, over-50, single female curmudgeon so I figure I'm pioneering new ground. In my quest to transition from a person who buys lots of books about home remodeling to someone who actually accomplishes something, I plan to do as much of the work as possible. I'll also strive to be be green, sustainable, and organic every step of the way. And I promise that this blog will always be a DH-free zone (even if I got married I'd never call anyone that).
