| Introduction | Rob de Vries (1963) studied at the Amsterdamse Grafische School, where he graduated in 1984. He worked as DTP-operator and designer for various companies. In 2002 he started his own one-man design company. Years of practice in the graphic world had rekindled the desire to start drawing and painting again. A period of intensive study followed. Advanced drawing techniques and a education in realistic painting and 17th century painting techniques from the painter Cas Waterman. He is drawing and painting commissioned portraits for 5 years now. In between the commissions he is working on his own paintings. His work is in Dutch, Danish, Norwegian English Belgium, Italian and American Private Collections. |
