| Introduction | The Common Threads Art Collective is a cooperative committee led by members of the Retail Action Project (RAP). Composed of retail workers and allied artists, Common Threads collectively aims to make retail workers’ experiences more visible through art and culture. Common Threads strives to support and create opportunities for artists working throughout the NYC retail industry. It also provides creative support to the Retail Action Project’s campaigns. (RAP is a community labor partnership that strengthens solidarity for the improvement of working conditions in NYC's retail industry.) |
