IntroductionMy journey began back in the fall of 1985 in a country then called the Soviet Union, when on the stairs of my hometown Minsk elementary school I met my first basketball coach Vadim Alexin - a big-hearted giant who changed my life forever... Then U.S.S.R. collapsed and Belarus became an independent state and I was fortunate to play with a terrific group of guys and win everything an 18-year old player can dream of - we had a Dream Team that surprised many experts in Europe and in 1994 won the one and only European Championship (Under-22) for the newly independent state - BELARUS. Later I spent four years (1995-1999) playing in NCAA for George Washington (GW) University Colonials and after collecting numerous awards and honors I found myself moving back to Europe to play pro basketball for 11 years in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Russia and Ukraine. Now that I'm looking back at my basketball adventure, it's time to share my story...so many of you can be entertained, others surprised and few might want to learn a thing or two:) In October, 2011 I began work at my Alma Mater - GW Athletics - as a Radio Analyst for Men's Basketball and External Relations Assistant.
