Introduction | I grew up on an organic farm in Michigan where I helped to bale hay, tend the garden, feed the animals, and cook up a storm. I also played the violin, learned to sew with my grandma, worked in an antique shop after school, studied photography, and gobbled up as many books as I could. I ended up getting a double major in studio art and art history in college and went off to live in New York City and then Washington, DC. Now I live with my husband and two cats just outside Boston, Mass where I split my time between pursuing my master's degree in Museum Studies and creating items for you that are both beautiful and useful. I like carbs and books and trinkets and traveling. I don't like waiting for trains that never come. I love skim milk and old photographs, postcards, and blankets. I don't like unsharpened pencils. I love gardening, cooking, and creating. I detest humid muggy days. I love museums, antiques, and stationary. I can make people laugh. I cannot wiggle my nose or ears but I can curl my tongue. I am equally comfortable in the country and city. I think about the little details and am easily amused. I love adventure and open-minded people. |
