| Introduction | I've been training dogs since 1990. In college I studied animal learning and behavior and earned an MS in Educational Psychology studying adult learning and development. Before that, I grew up training and showing horses in Hunter/Jumper, Dressage and Cross-Country events. Currently I live with Australian Shepherds, Border Collies, Jack Russell Terriers, Shelties and a Pyrenean Shepherd. I also train and compete in obedience and herding. In 1997 I started my own agility training school in the Twin Cities Minnesota metro area. I offer small classes and believe in individualized training for dogs and handlers. There is no one approach that works for all dogs and handlers. My students and I compete in a variety of venues (USDAA, AKC, CPE, NADAC, ASCA and TDAA) and my training and handling philosophy incorporates distance training with Linda Mecklenburg's handling system. I offer small classes and private lessons in a variety of locations. Agile Canines also puts on USDAA, CPE, NADAC and TDAA agility trials and offers several agility seminars each year. |
