| Introduction | My interest is focused on K12 schools and how to measure organizational factors which affect students’ sense of comfort, safety, and belonging. Although intuitively, these factors affect academic success, my goal is to 1) collect research which connects academic success with social-emotional factors, 2) evaluate the factors measured in current school climate assessments, and 3) consider factors which affect school climate which are missing from those evaluations.. In this blog I plan on writing a log of my research toward the goal of devising a comprehensive method of evaluating school climate from as many perspectives as possible. |
