| Introduction | Started building model airplanes at age 8. Always fascinated by flight. Started playing with cars at 16. Started as an engineer researching and designing jet engines after graduation followed by a 40 year career. Published about 10 scientific papers on the aerodynamics of jet engine compressors including ground breaking work on centrifugal compressors. Ended up as the executive responsible for the design of jet engines. Always fascinated by physics and chemistry. After retirement took up climate study. Quickly became a sceptic, while restoring 2 old Jaguar cars. |
