Introduction	There's something nourishing about writing. Of course, I strive to do it well, and feel satisfied those few rare times when I think I may have accomplished that. But the process of writing is, for me, the bulk of its joy. This place is my "ahhh".
Interests	writing, reading, gardening, people, art, architecture, sociology, psychology, philosophy, nature and its preservation, faith, singing, living with integrity, remembering to be silly
Favorite movies	A Beautiful Mind, West Side Story, Life is Beautiful, Chariots of Fire, Fiddler on the Roof, Crash, Gandhi, Good Will Hunting, Aguirra the Wrath of God, Dead Man Walking...you know, all those light ones...
Favorite music	old Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Nora Jones, Ani DeFranco, Louie Armstrong, Laura Love, Dave Matthews...(give me a great lyricist with a characteristic voice, and I'll give you a satisfied audience), A Tainted Image, classical pieces by most Russian composers
Favorite books	poetry collections (still have a soft spot for e.e. cummings), the Bible, gardening books, short stories, my morning newspaper with coffee, anything by Wallace Stegner
