| Introduction | Heather is a chemist, former classroom teacher, science writer, business analyst, and founder of the Broley Homestead. The Broley Homestead is a small iris farm and plant nursery located in the central piedmont region of North Carolina. Heather currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Iris Society, and is the past President of the Eastern North Carolina Iris Society (an AIS affiliate in Region 4).
