Introduction I understand the simplicity of life as it is mixed with the complexity of everyone striving for personal dreams/goals. With any issue I try to understand, I see the complexity of governance. I enjoy looking at the person within society, the inner peace being challenged when the outside is in turmoil and vice versa. On the lighter side I see the complexity of quantum physics and the making of a great sandwich being definitely interrelated. Since 1994 I have worked the subject of peace. The focus has mostly been with the political situations nation states are in, such as civil wars, genocides, revolutions, elections and post conflict rebuilding. Academically I have two degrees, Mount Saint Vincent in Halifax Nova Scotia I obtained my undergrad for Peace and Conflict. I obtained my Master degree at Royal Roads University in Victoria British Columbia for Human Security and Peacebuilding. Now I am doing my phd in Peace at the University of Manitoba. There are a multitude of certificates in mediation, negotiations, peace operations, governance, systems management, risk management, and I wish I could get one for corruptions management.
Interests Hockey, ideas, politics, peace, geology, food, life, humour, love, rhythm, chaos, order and understandings.
Favorite Movies I am sure this list is very typical, Most movies that deal with sasquatch encounters, star Wars trilogy, The Blues Brothers, The Changeling (Geroge C. Scott), Tommy Boy, Last of the Mohicans, Blood Hook, Shawshank Redemption, Usual Suspects, A Christmas Carol (Alistar Simms), etc.
Favorite Music Any music with a good beat. Mostly the Blues though
Favorite Books I had a great love for the telephone books of the late seventies mid nineties. In there you could find information on how to repair a washing machine, close a wound with stitches, how to cook a turkey, change a faucet, street maps and if need be and find someone that could do any of those things for you. The best one source book for a multitude of tasks. It would be tough to find a book that does that today.
