IntroductionI am a mother of an amazing beautiful boy, Julian James. I recently delivered my amazing baby girl Ada Grace via HBAC.
InterestsYOGA, Reading, Journaling, Listening to Music, Walking, hiking, Movie watching (Netflix!), helping others, driving around, NAPPING, traveling when I have the dough and courage to just pick up and go. And I love anything minty, particularly Tom's of Maine Peppermint Toothpaste, ethnic food, Whole Foods, Genmaicha Tea or pretty much any herbal tea, red wine occasionally and tattoos... I got 5 including a full sleeve! Love green plants. And I'm a sometimes vegetarian, sometimes turkey burger eating, sometimes bacon eating, girl.
Favorite moviesThe Diving Bell and the Butterfly!! Love the classics - On the Waterfront, Citizen Kane, Godfather, A Philadelphia Story, It's A Wonderful Life, or any film with the likes of Jimmy Stewart and Katherine Hepburn, and any modern day independent films. Love Little Miss Sunshine and Brokeback Mountain, Once, Royal Tennenbaums, Whale Rider. JUNO. Also enjoy documentaries that tell it like it is and foreign films - The Bicycle Thief, Salaam Bombay and any Pedro Almodovar. Pan's Labyrinth was awesome! Basically if a movie SHOWS me and doesn't TELL me, I'm hooked. Gone Baby Gone and Mystic River - movies that really get into what life is like. Is it black and white or is it gray? I still don't know. Slumdog was pretty sweet.
Favorite musicTori Amos, Radiohead, Damien Rice, The Swell Season, Glen Asgard, Moby, Pearl Jam, Wilco, Justin Timberlake, Top 20, REAL hip hop like Talib Kweli and Common, basically anything that has good lyrics, or a good beat, that I can sing along to or dance to - the exception is cheesy techno or Rap that uses the word c*** Oh, I'm a stickler for folksy guys and their guitars - Josh Ritter, Brooke Frasier. The Paradise rocks. And how about some Hindi?
Favorite booksClassics again - The Scarlet Letter, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye but also enjoy modern fiction (Kite Runner and Michael Cunningham are favs) and memoirs, nonfiction (Eat Pray Love is fantastic) and any books on spirituality or buddhism (The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari, The Art of Happiness, Power of Now) Currently reading Gone with the Wind.
