| Introduction | Schiffren has worked at home and abroad as a journalist and speech writer, for the U.S. government, in politics. She will defend American exceptionalism, small government, individual liberties and the second amendment to the death. She is a fan of representational art, Western Civ and most of Judeo-Christian morality -- particularly the Judeo part. She is a Zionist. Schiffren lives in New York, with three daughters, in or almost in their teens, and a Springer Spaniel puppy named Watson. She takes a dim view of the direction civilization is heading. Despite reservations about the efficacy of bells or warning shots, let alone essays and op-eds, to spur needed change, concern for the future impels her to blog. |
