Introduction Dr. Warren Lathem is the co-founder and President Emeritus of the Wesleyan Seminary of Venezuela. Lathem is the former District Superintendent of the Atlanta-Marietta District of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has pastored churches since 1972. His last pastoral appointment was to the Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church which he served for over 17 years. During his tenure, it grew to be the fourth largest UMC (based on average attendance) in the U.S. More importantly, during those years over 60% of the 5000 new members (net) who joined were by Profession of Faith. While serving at Mount Pisgah he founded the Mount Pisgah Christian School, the largest private school in the UMC, the Beacon of Hope Women's Center, the Summit Counseling Center, Lay Missionary Training, and other ministries. He has always been committed to reaching the unchurched with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Among his published works are Our Father…I Believe, Transformational Worship, Prayer Campaign: A Transforming Experience, and Head ‘Em Off At The Pass, The Pie Safe available From the author and Preaching for a Response, co-authored with Dan W. Dunn.
