| Introduction | When most people say traveling is an art, they mean it's a craft. They mean you should know the secrets of how to do everything in the most efficient and effortless way possible, which is really the definition of a craft - a thing done well - rather than an art. For me travel is an art, and art is always an invitation to look closely (metaphorically or literally) and be changed by what you see. Travel, like art, is about becoming a different person: a deeper, wiser, more cultured, and more humane person. |
