| Introduction | I was born in Portugal but raised in an international environment. Up to university I attended French Consular schools around the world, never living longer than 3 years in the same country. Three continents and ten countries after, I am finally conscious this lifestyle helped me broaden my mind, develop my adaptation skills and taught me how to deal with challenges. My design philosophy is deeply based on analysis and investigation. Therefore I like to work under strong concepts leaving place to simple solutions. Four years of industrial design along with my background led me to understand the people that really need their problems solved are the poor and that is the reason why I made my, I-hope-not-so-utopic, goal in life: designing for the third world. In this sense, I believe Social Business and Biomimicry will play a crucial role in the years to come. Know more at http://www.tiagomiranda.tumblr.com. Don't forget to smile. |
