| Introduction | Poetry allows me to express my hopes for a more just and compassionate world for humans and nonhumans alike. It also allows me to express my frustrations when we seem so far from those goals. Sometimes the poems are sincere, sometimes sarcastic, sometimes just plain silly. I'll trust you can tell the difference. Sometimes I present in a cow costume, as The Angry Cow, and so some of my poems are from her perspective. Most of the pieces I'm including here are poems, but some are essays or thoughts that I wanted to share, even if they didn't come out in poetry. |
