| Introduction | A Song in the Desert: My time in Jordan. Someone once described love to me as hearing music in the words of their spouse. I understood immediately. The pull of my heart towards the Middle East reverberates through me like a song. It is a unique melody I wish I could record and share with the world. The lively beat, deep bellows and creative complexities surpass words: My pulse quickens, my heart jumps and I get a bit shaky with ecstatic thrill thinking about it. I truly do love the Middle East.
