| Introduction | I began painting in early 2006 when my soon-to-be husband gave me a set of acrylics and an easel. I had never painted before. This journey of learning to paint has given me a new view of the world and I am eternally grateful for the chance to travel with new eyes. I began with acrylics, moved to pastels, then tried watercolors. Now I am back with acrylics and loving using a brush again. Each medium has its advantages and challenges and I feel like I grow when I try new things with different media.
