| Introduction | I grew up in a couple of different small towns in western Canada, towns that ranged from a few miles north of the U.S. border to a few miles south of the Arctic Ocean. In 1992, as a young adult working in the oil and gas industry, opportunity and circumstance led me to the southern United States, where I thought I would remain for two or three years before moving back to Canada. And here I am still. The profile photo was taken next to a cairn that my father's family and friends built in his honor/honour at our family cabin in northern Saskatchewan. The name of the blog comes from him--he was The Principal. |
