IntroductionI'm currently publishing Montfort, my work on the life of Simon de Montfort who founded England's Parliament in 1258 and created modern democracy. (see volumes I and II on amazon.com search montfort.) However, when I'm not working on Montfort, I write plays and screenplays on historical subjects, ranging from my play "Supper with the Pope" on the Borgias and the beginnings of Western versus Islamic imperialism, to "The Treasure" about a convent in France where, during WWII, the starving nuns rescued British flyers and hid the Belgian national treasure,
Interestshistory, philosophy, the Middle Ages, where we are going as a species -- all this serious stuff relieved with a little gardening.
