IntroductionIn 1987 Len Smith walked into Hanna-Barbera with a cardboard portfolio and started work the same day. After H-B Len went to Disney where he designed Toontown for “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”.Len went on to Disney TV working on the Emmy winning series “Winnie the Pooh”. He designed the main characters for “Tailspin” and“Bonkers” and many in “The Little Mermaid” series.Len then went to Disney Consumer products as assistant art director on“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.He designed the mascot for the “Mighty Ducks” hockey team. Len started a consumer products division at Film Roman studio (“The Simpsons”, “Garfield”, “Bobby’s World”). At Film Roman Len designed the mascot for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.Next: Mattel Toys as a staff designer in the Infant-Preschool division where he created their entire puzzle line. Currently a freelance artist (clients:Disney Publishing, Warner Brothers, Mattel, Fisher-Price, Hasbro, Marvel ,The Dodgers, The Braves, Aquawood Toys, Jakks-Pacific). Len also does work for charitable organizations such as Optimists International, Children’s Miracle Network and the The Foundation for the Junior Blind.
