| Introduction | American Medical Information Association had one of it's conventions in Orlando, Florida, which I attended. One of the interesting issues that a nurse brought to the floor for the group to address was how to get administrative support from technophobic nurse managers. My suggestion was a bit drastic but regime change! My experience includes buying and managing hospitals in Chattanooga TN, Rocky Mount, NC, bidding for a contract for one in Saudi Arabia, operations for large multi-campus, non-profit in Orlando, Florida, plus academic research on the adoption of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) by physicians. |
