| Introduction | Jesse Cabanacan is a native Barugon-on, born and raised in Barugo, a small bucolic town along the northern coast of Leyte province. In late 1976, shortly before turning 21 years old, he left Barugo in search of his elusive future. Over three decades later, he's still searching but may be closer to it than he thinks. Better late than older, he may have found his secular vocation long after his short-lived attempt at a failed spiritual calling, not being one of the few chosen. He is now an aspiring, albeit desperate, gentleman farmer. |
