| Introduction | i was born in PNG where my father was a medical officer. my husband was born in Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia)where his father was in the African Police force( pre independence)and his mother was a nurse trained in midwifery and tropical diseases. we have a daughter who is 20,independent, with studies completed in disabilities and about to undertake nursing training. we love to travel and live outside adelaide on a 10 acre property where we grow shiraz grapes. I have worked in numerous areas of nursing including aged care,rehab,midwifery,management and education. i am currently studying part time at Flinders University towards a master of health and international development whilst working part time in aged care as well as in midwifery at Flinders Medical Centre, teaching two days a week at Flinders University in the school of nursing and of course establishing this project with my dear friend. |
