| Introduction | Shaun and I met at the University of South Carolina our senior year. He was my neighbor at the University Commons, our apartment building. Our relationship started out as a strong friendship. When we were months away from graduating our relationship turned into something more. Shaun and I dated for 4 years and then Shaun pulled the most romantic and unexpected proposal...he asked me to marry him in my classroom. My assistant principal told me that I had an unexpected parent-teacher conference. While I was getting ready for the conference, Shaun walked in with roses. I was so confused; I really thought I was having a conference, so I told him that he to leave. Then he got down on one knee and it was all water works from there. We got married on October 15, 2005. What a beautiful day! It was more than I could have asked for or dreamed about. After two years of being married, we decided that we wanted to start a family. Shaun went off the academy and WOW, guess what...we were pregnant. It was so fast and unexpected, even though we were trying. Now, we have our first son...Christian Bailey Spivey. |
