| Introduction | The blog of an associate professor at a small, religious liberal arts institution. My husband works two hours' drive away at a major suburban research institute. I take care of my high-energy Kindergartner (Boy) and my strong-willed pre-schooler (Girl) in addition to my workload. This blog is intended to educate interested parties about life at a Small Liberal Arts College (SLAC)/ Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI). It is also intended to chronicle the lifestyle of two scientists living a commuter marriage due to an unsolved "two body problem", and my constant struggle to balance family and career. I hope it can be a forum for sharing advice and ideas among others who may be in a similar situation, or looking to be in the future. I love thoughtful comments from readers. |
