Why don't you ever wear a scarf? It doesn't need to be cold outside for your neck to feel naked.
I am a minimalist (spelling?) in dressing, so t-shirt and pants are my uniform. A scarf would blow in the breeze when I walk outside and blow into my face, then I'd run into a tree, see little stars and squiggy-things and wake up face down in the mud or snow. My neck ain't pretty but it's mine, and it's a free country. :)
