Introduction	We have spent the past few years of our lives living and working in a variety of different countries doing humanitarian work, including several years in Uzbekistan. This is how we came to know and love the Uzbek people. Although we no longer get to live in Uzbekistan these days, we were shocked to hear about the terrible ethnic violence against ethnic Uzbeks in Kyrgyztan when it first started in June of 2010. So we decided to come to Kyrgyztan to try and help these Uzbeks the best we can. In order to protect our own security, we will use these aliases for ourselves; ‘Jeff,’ ‘Sue’ and ‘Elaine’ (we are husband, wife and adult daughter).
