About me

Location United States
Introduction "I'm a tarheel born and a tarheel bred and when I die, I'm a tarheel dead." Yes, that's a line from the UNC-CH fight song and perfectly describes me. I was born in NC, graduated from UNCCH(and an avid fan), a brief detour to Atlanta and now back in NC for 20+ years. I am also an avid "fan" of fabric, buttons, lace and trims. I have been ever since taking basic sewing in ninth grade home economics. My sewing machine traveled with me to college and beyond. Thank goodness my mother-in-law also sewed and collected fabric so my husband tolerates my habit. After the birth of my daughter almost thirty years ago (gasp) I learned English smocking and heirloom sewing and now added to the mix is machine embroidery. Now that I am retired(ha!), I am pursuing a longtime dream of a sewing business featuring childrens clothes and accessories and some adult items. Other loves are my husband of thirty four years, my daughter and son and their spouses, pansies, irises, hydrangea, music, the sound of children playing, and living the laidback coastal life (hurricanes are an exception).
