| Introduction | Richard was recently appointed President of Millennium International University, KL, Malaysia, which is mainly an online University for graduate and post graduate ministry studies. This a non-executive appointment which will require travel to KL each year, especially to the bi-annual graduations. Until recently Richard was teaching pastor at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church, Perth, Western Australia, having served as interim senior pastor then team leader for two and a half years of his ten years there (2006-2016). Before that he served for 7 years at Tabor College, Perth, 6 of those as Principal (1999-2005). Richard has his PhD from Edith Cowan University and a Master degree from Melbourne College of Divinity. Richard's PhD topic was 'A Reappraisal of Wesleyan Methodist Mission in the First Half of the Nineteenth Century, as viewed through the Ministry of the Rev John Smithies (1802–1872)’, Dissertation (PhD), Edith Cowan University, Perth, WA, 2006. He has two entries, 'Methodist Church' and 'Pentecostalism' in the 'Historical Encyclopedia of Western Australia' (2009). |
