| Introduction | i like sewing things, crocheting, printing and patternmaking. i have a tendency to buy lots of old and new fabrics that sit on a tall set of shelves in my room, waiting to be transfomed.Some sit on these shelves for much longer than others, some get whipped into something lovely almost instantly, whilst the iron is still hot and my motivation is bubbling. i am fiendishly possesive about my favourite fabrics and can hardly bring myself to make the first snip. i'm terrible at letting go of anything old, hence i am a highly skilled and experienced horder who lives in the past. i live in england in a big old house on a wide leafy street with my friends and a cat. i lived in sydney for a while and loved it more than anything; blue skies, beautiful light, paper bark and frangipani trees, crashing waves. i love summer and spring, i love eating and cooking, live music and the radio, gardening (the best bits) buying clothes and fabrics, and snuggling dogs and cats. i like books and photos, and books of photos, i like old women's magazines full of useless things to make, funny pictures and recipes involving spam. |
