Introduction	As a teacher, I hope to use this blog to encourage my students to write. This blog is titled FrankenPig because it is the title for my first completed novel. This book is currently in the second round of the Amazon Novel contest (ABNA contest). I'm working on my second novel, Ham Radio Hero. I've had several short stories published in the last few months: "Live, Love, Laugh" appears in Cup of Comfort for Couples. Two other personal essays are being sold: One in Cup of Comfort for Christian Women, and another by Sargenti Press in the Reflections for Women series. You can read three other stories in the anthology titled Bad Austen. I've won 2 Hallmark Card Contests, and I've gained an Honorable Mention in a Writer's Digest Contest.
Interests	My favorite pastime is hiking in State Parks and National Forests. I love to knit while watching TV or listening to books on tape.
