| Introduction | I believe you don't necessarily have to be Amish to enjoy a simple, uncomplicated life. For many years I have have had close ties to the Amish having grown up with them basically all around me in my neighborhood. It is my great respect I have for the sense of togetherness through God and family that caused me to be intrigued by Amish life. I have made many friends and close ties with Amish and Mennonite communties in many states. They have shared with me their values and many recipes and traditions. I love to cook, garden and can. Just a few traits I picked up along the way by making new friends among the Amish. |
