| Interests | Baz: started out in the world of stand up comedy making it to the NSW state finals of Triple J's Raw Comedy Competition in 2001. He produced and starred in the cult comedy show 'Dolphin Juice' with comedian Bernie Tingle. The pair were picked up by Triple M radio in Sydney then a full-time breakfast gig with Hot FM in Townsville. Here Baz was picked up by the Channel 10 show 'State Focus' to do vox pop before moving on to another breakfast radio spot in Gladstone. He has written five feature film scripts and over thirty short film scripts. Some of his films credits include: winning the MaxFest Short Film Competition; being short-listed by the Stinkwater Film Competition; making the finals of the Eyescream Halloween Short Film Competition; winning a section of the Funnybone 500 short film competition; and making the finals of the Comedy Channel's Short Film Competition. Clifton: Clifton is what you would describe as a self taught filmmaker. After high school he worked on many short film projects in Brisbane from 2001 to 2006. This is where he learnt the majority of film-making techniques from directing to cinematography and editing. In 2002 Clifton was cast in the big budget WW2 film The Great Raid as a prisoner of war extra. Towards the end of 2006 he decided to step back from other peoples projects to work on his own concepts and to reinvent himself so he moved to Central Queensland where he began to meet other filmmakers. Clifton would say his best ability is editing. He likes to use the term ‘editing filmmaker’ when describing himself. He approaches how to shoot a scene from an editing point of view. Clifton loves all sorts of movies but especially enjoys big budget action films and WW2 movies. He tries to make films that he likes to watch. You can email us at goldwater2008@live.com |
