Introduction | I am a record collector specializing in cheap budget records such as Royale, Halo, Crown, Pickwick, Gilmar, Promenade/Prom, Tops/Mayfair, and other budget record labels. I enjoy every aspect of these cheap budget records, from the content, cover art, and the stories behind the labels that gave us all these fantastic (if not fantastically bad) records. Budget label records are diverse in content, style, and presentation; consequently, they always continue to fascinate me. |
Interests | Record collecting, especially the budget releases that nobody else typically goes after, are primarily found in the bargain bins at record stores and thrift shops. |
Favorite Music | Sound-alike Records, Classical, Big band/Swing, Jazz, Rock and Roll, Folk (US & International), Background (namely Seeburg 1000 & Muzak library tracks- although I am a sucker for a good set of 3M 700 Cantata tape tracks), Hawaiian/Polynesian, Showtunes/Broadway/Operetta. |
