Introduction | Long retired from teaching I have spent my time among a variety of pursuits: (1) writing with Ray Patenaude the book, Letters to a Young Math Teacher, which this blog supplements; (2) writing an as yet unpublished math text for college liberal arts students titled About Mathematics and teaching with that text in three college settings; (3) writing over 1200 natural history columns for the Buffalo Sunday News, some of which have been collected in The Nature Watch Collection, Books One and Two; (4) developing a small book and a series of videos about programming calculators; and (5) travel-camping on my motorscooter including trips around all five Great Lakes. |
