Introduction	I have worked for many years as a development economist, mostly providing advice to developing country Governments and aid donors on public expenditure issues. I also worked briefly in the UK Cabinet Office, and as Chief Economist in the Home Office. This blog is intended as an outlet for policy comment and analysis on issues that I care about but that are broader than development.
