| Introduction | I am an CCNY MA student, and this is my first blog. I work as an ESL instructor, and am interested in history and journalism; this blog is a good start toward serving that interest. I love reading and listening to/about Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn, & Albert Einstein (not his theories, read about him as a person). I listen to WBAI and zealously cultivate my insatiable appetite for politics and the history of social movements. I wish to become more active in creating a movement against the American hypocricy and its unbalanced system. I have been living in NYC for most of my life and look foward to living out a burning desire: to experience other cultures and parts of the world, and want to do it all before I deteriorate from old age. I love apes, dogs, dolphins, horses, and even (disappointing) humans, sometimes. However, I can always count on nature, pure thought, and pioneers for inspiration. Moreover, I am seduced by any thing Spanish Flamenco- Ole!. My favorite poet, however, isn't Spanish, he is French-- Arthur Rimbaud (not to be mistaken for Sylvester Stallone's "Rambo"). My least favorite poet is...ummm...ummm? I'll have to answer that thought later. |
