| Introduction | I love metal. I'm a self-taught, self-employed metalsmith jeweler, and absolutely love what I do for a living! I find inspiration in nature mostly, and the materials I use, which are more often than not rare and very old. I want to leave as small a footprint as possible, and therefore use only recycled precious metals, vintage brass components, and no toxic or harsh chemicals. No nickle, no lead or cadmium, and no acid. All of my marketing, shipping and packaging materials are recycled, too! Yay! I have an ever-growing arsenal of tools, beads, gemstones, vitreous glass enamels in all sorts of colors that I either torch-fire or fuse in my electric kiln....and, of course, ideas! I love making mistakes (well, not always!) because I either learn from them, or they become a part of the design. |
