IntroductionI’m 20 and lost in the throes of life. I'm confused, random, eager, and just a little bit crazy. My greatest fear is that I’m secretly the same as everyone else, and I want nothing more than to be a novelist who can capture the attention of a reader to a point of absorption so complete that I have people walking around with books in front of their faces, right into poles. I'm overweight and trying to lose it, I'm part magpie and excited by sparkly items, and I think LARP is a brilliant idea. I love all things dorky, and I like guys smart. Without my best friend, but I would definitely bottle up more and talk a lot less. I am an English/creative writing and Theater/directing double major. I worry that I’m not good at anything. I hate spiders. I’m agnostic. Religious people scare me, but I'm working on that. I'm ridiculously clumsy, which is funny first few times, and then really annoying. I'm working on that too. I’m a work in progress, which I plan to track here, as I struggle with school, summer breaks, friends, my weight, my insecurities, my dreams, and my dramas. And, just maybe, I am interesting enough that the things I have to say can't be said by anyone else. Here's hoping.
InterestsOh, everything. Life. Random thoughts pop up, and new interests come with them. I currently want to be a massage therapist/English teacher/Director/ Voice Actor/ Writer/ Cop. My current interests range from fan fiction, writing original work, theater of all kinds, colorful items, bracelet making, firing guns, making things, cooking, when so inspired...the list goes on. Does that clear anything up?
Favorite moviesToo many to count. I love to laugh, so mostly comedies. I also enjoy sappy romance, but mostly by myself. I love anything with the right hint of fantasy. I love Harry Potter, and despite criticisms, the loyalty of the movies earns love from me, unlike the movie of Eragon, which sucked, and Twilight, which was awful (New Moon sucked marginally less, and at this rate, Eclipse might be bearable, and I might not even be pissed after Breaking Dawn).
Favorite musicAsk me today, you get an answer. Ask me tomorrow, you'll get another. Ask next week, and I don't know what I would say. Imogen Heap, Bif Naked, Third Eye Blind, Three Doors Down, Panic! at the Disco, Alanis Morissette, Tori Amos, Butterfly Boucher, The Calling, the Cranberries,The Dresdon Dolls, Dido, The Veronicas, The Donnas, Evanessence, Feist, The Goo Goo Dolls, Liz Phair, Frou Frou, Miss Higgins, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Brightman, Loreena Mckennet, Weezer, The Queens of the Stone Age, and so much more. My Friend downloaded a pandora app for my ipod, so I am discovering new music everyday. He also gave me a list of stuff he likes. I plan to check all of that out, starting with Of Montreal, and Vampire Weekend. I'm working on it.
Favorite booksAs an English major, I have read a lot of classic literature, and I haven't really liked much of it. Nothing that Shakespeare ever said has touched me quite so much as Harry Potter did, and I guiltily enjoy the simple wish-fulfillment of the Twilight series. I laugh with Christopher Moore books, and read mostly literature designed for teens. Percy Jackson and I chill, and Vladimir Todd is my homeboy. Neil Gaiman has weird thoughts, so he gets a place in my heart. I keep intending to read Terry Pratchett but life gets in the way. I'm working on that. I love fan fiction, and lots of it is as long as any book. And, it keeps me reading. NCIS is my current fandom love, and Inuyasha is a permanent favorite. I loved Eragon, and still need to find a minute to read the Brisingr. I read the Cirque Du Freak books, all 12, and loved Darren through it all.
