Introduction | At a young age, Mitro came to love alternate history. Mitro was an early member of alternatehistory.com, back when the discussion forum was only a small part of a larger website. He joined Alternia before it imploded, where he adopted the name “Mitro”, his nickname in college. For a short while he was a member of Different Worlds, the successor to Alternia, though left to concentrate on expanding his alternate history Facebook group the Organization of Alternate Historians (renamed Alternate History Online). Later he became an editor on the Alternate History Wiki, where many of his original timelines can still be found. He was an active participant of the 1983: Doomsday shared timeline, became chief administrator of the entire wiki and was responsible for drafting many of the guidelines that are still enforced today. Mitro retired from his role as administrator to concentrate on the novel he hopes to one day publish. Mitro received a Bachelor of Science in History (with minors in Business Administration and Political Science) from Bradley University. He also received a Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School. He is a licensed attorney in the state of Illinois. |
