| Introduction | Colin and Angela started this blog in November 2011. It's main purpose, initially, was to keep in touch with friends and family. Angela had been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor of the spine and underwent therapy for a number of weeks in Kingston. Colin kept the blog going for all those months of anxiety, lack of certitude and of course hope. By the summer of 2012 things looked up, radiation had kept its double edged promise, Angela's condition was improving. In July, Colin had to take on administrative duties which allowed little time for writing. Therefore, her situation somewhat stable, Angela took over the blog in September 2012. This blog is, nevertheless, not only and not mainly about medical reports. We have been helped in our efforts to bear the illness and recover by all those with whom we converse in these pages. In spite of it not being exactly an open forum, we had such an encouraging, loving response from our faithful readers, that we feel the blog has become an important part of our life. We will continue to share our thoughts with those who, from afar, are close to us, and hope they too will find in here something meaningful of their own. |
