| Introduction | I was born in 1955 in Ohio. George, the last of four children, was born in 1960. We moved to Illinois in 1970 and I was married in 1978. My brother George, who has Down syndrome, moved in with us in 1979 after the death of our mother and the diagnosis of our father with terminal cancer. He has been a member of our immediate family ever since and has helped raise our two children, Hannah,19, and Kyle,16. |
