Introduction Standard 3rd-person bio: Valerie Wetlaufer spent her twenties moving from Iowa to Vermont, Paris to Florida. She is currently living in Salt Lake City, where she is a doctoral fellow in English and Creative Writing at the University of Utah. Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Drunken Boat, Main Street Rag, PANK Magazine, Word Riot and Bloom. Her chapbook Scent of Shatter will be published in 2010 by Grey Book Press. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Florida State University and an MA in Teaching from Bennington College. She is currently working on her second volume of poems and trying to publish the first one, Call Me By My Other Name, which was a semi-finalist for the 2009 Brittingham Poetry Award. In 2010, she is writing a poem a day.
Interests Poetry, Translation, Pedagogy, all things French and francophone, knitting, my cats, visiting National Parks.
