| Introduction | Alexis has had solo shows at ArtSway & Phoenix Arts Association & was artist is residence at both. She has participated in several site-specific group shows notably Wheal Art Weekend, held on a world heritage site. She has been supported by; ACE, The Esmee Fairburn Foundation, The ArtHouse Doncaster, ArtSway, Creative Skills Consortium Cornwall & Sadler's Wells Big Intensive for Choreographers. Alexis holds a first class BA Hons in Fine Art from Falmouth College of Arts (UCC) & a Certificate of Higher Education in Dance Performance from Birkbeck, University of London. Alexis makes dance, drawing, sculpture & film. She aims to present far ranging lines of enquiry which people can relate to. In 2007 she ran away from the circus in Cornwall where she was PA to an acrobatic clown and went on to manage IJAD Dance Company. She now works for Dance UK as Communications Officer & is an event manager for a range of large scale music festivals & events across the country |
