| Introduction | I’m an artist, musician, songwriter, and teacher, kind of a jack of all trades. After spending the last fifteen years living in Dallas, I recently moved back home to SE Texas. I’m originally from Beaumont and earned my B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Lamar University in 1998. I also studied art at the UNT in Denton. I’ve exhibited throughout Texas as well as in Oklahoma, and have artwork in several public and private collections. I taught art and music in the Dallas Independent School District for more than a decade and now teach in the Goose Creek CISD in Baytown. As a musician I’ve performed hundreds of shows around the country. Over the years I’ve bounced back and forth between pastels and oil painting, but the landscape and the people around me have always formed the bulk of my inspiration. In addition to my nearly daily paintings, I also post information about art exhibits, art techniques and tips, and interviews with other Texas artists.
