| Introduction | I was born in the town of Penang, Malaysia to my unassuming parents. I was blessed with a companion, my little sister, at 2 years old born on my birthday. At that egoistical age, I was not happy about sharing my birthday every year. Our family moved to Singapore after the birth of my brother for a better education and an exciting job offer on Dad's part. I grew up amongst the urban jungle of Singapore and survived the gruelling educational system. But I survived and came through a stronger person. I aspired to be a doctor as long as I could remember. I had naive desires to help people, save lives and touch people's hearts. 6 years of medical school certainly did not numb those desires but working for the last 4 years have certainly done that. If not for medical school, I would never have met my ever fantastic husband, Stan. He is ever so funny, amusing and my best mate. |
