Introduction | Design Press was set up by Irish Furniture designer Grainne Lyons. Having worked as a student behind the scenes on RTE's "My Showhouse" and being on the design team of "The Colour Me Rich" renovation and redesign project she had gained real life work experience in the area of design long before her graduation. This experience proved to stand to Grainne's advantage when she received a First Class Honours Degree within her field of Design. Following her results she was elected by lecturers and head of the design department at Dublin Institute of Technology to represent the college in The Coillte Student Wood Awards 2011 with the furniture she designed and made for her design thesis final year project. Now working as a part-time kitchen designer with Bushell Interiors in Park West while working on her own design career at The Malthouse Design Centre in Dublin 1. You can find GrĂ¡inne's latest lighting and homeware products on her website www.grainnelyonsdesign.com. Grainne is a full-time designer and full-time blogger.
