Introduction	I am the mother of a beautiful little girl who has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. This blog is to work through the thoughts and issues that will arise because of her condition. The blog is called "the story of zoe" and not "the story of Zoe" because the word has two meanings. Firstly, it is my daughter's name. Secondly, there is the true meaning of the Greek word 'zoe', which is 'life'. Not just animal, biological life, but as CS Lewis puts it in Mere Christianity "the spiritual life which is in God from all eternity, and which created the whole natural universe". It is this quality of life God offers us in Christ and to which I aspire, and we will raise our daughter to aspire to it too, regardless of her condition. This blog will also be about things that make me happy, namely books, painting, sewing, craft, and of course, my faith.
